Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (Altitude 1400 m)

Nepal Big Mountain Travel believes in persistence and belongingness. On day 1, arrival day, a representative in formal attire with garlands (mala) and traditional Buddhist ceremonial scarf (Khata) will welcome you. This is a traditional welcoming gesture of Nepalese. The representative will guide you to the hotel. You can wander around the streets of Thamel and explore shops during the late afternoon. Then, a cultural dinner is presented overnight at 3 – star hotel in Kathmandu or similar class.

Day 2: Drive to Chitwan from Kathmandu (97.7km)

After your fresh morning breakfast, you drive to Chitwan on a private vehicle. You reach the hotel in the afternoon and take rest till lunch at 2 PM. Subsequently, you visit the Tharu village. You can live through a Tharu lifestyle with a feeling of a member of the same ethnic group. Later in the evening, you can relax with a mesmerizing view of the sunset. Not only that, but you also take pleasure in the Tharu Cultural Show. You have your traditional dinner with a different flavour of Chitwan at night before resting your eyes after the awesome day. Day 3: Full day sightseeing in Chitwan (Altitude 815 m)

You will have Breakfast in the fresh air of Chitwan early in the morning before you go for a jungle walk. Then, you will visit the unique Elephant Breeding Centre. You get pleasure from the view of nature in the early afternoon with the experience of an Elephant ride for about 1 hour 30 minutes. In the meantime, you can spot various wildlife of Chitwan. Lucky people will get the view of deer, rhinoceros, one horn rhino, royal Bengal tiger, wild boar, leopard, monkeys, and birds including some other endangered species.  Thereafter, you can proceed towards canoeing under the magical sunset view. As its name suggests, Chitwan is the heart of the jungle lying between the Mahabharata range and Siwalik range. Day 4: Drive to Pokhara from Chitwan (86 km roughly)

A new day starts with early breakfast. Thereafter, you begin a trip towards Pokhara.  Five hours of the drive will engage you to observe the beauty of Pokhara passing through Himalayan Rivers – Trishuli, Marsyangdi and Seti. After your lunch in the hotel, you will spend some quality time at the Lake Side. The major attraction of the day is boating in Fewa Lake and a religious trip to the temple situated in the middle of the lake, Tal Barahi, giving you a feeling of a religious island. Day 5: Drive from Pokhara to Phedi and trek to Dhampus (Altitude 800 m)

You begin with your breakfast, then, you go on a 30-minute ride to Phedi on a private vehicle. Your day in Phedi will be an adventurous hike to the scenic views. That is climbing through beautiful forest and countryside for the next 3 hours to reach the hilltop named Dhampus.

The quiet, serene and amazingly beautiful Dhampus provides a view of gorgeous peaks. This shall include the Annapurna range, the Fishtail, Dhaulagiri, Hiunchuli, Lamjung Himal and other peaks. Day 6: Drive to Kathmandu from Pokhara and Drive to Nagarkot (Altitude 2175 m)

Morning greets you with a warm sunrise view. After having breakfast, you start a trip to Phedi from Dhampus. Having reached Pokhara from Phedi in a private vehicle, you then drive back to Kathmandu. There, you will devour lunch in Nepali restaurant to recreate yourself for the trip to Nagarkot in a private vehicle. A 1 and a half hours’ drive will drop you to Nagarkot for the eye-catching scenery. From Nagarkot, you can see beautiful peaks from Dhaulagiri to Everest to Kanchenjunga including peaks from Langtang Himalayan range in the north. Day 7: Trip to Bhaktapur

Meals

The meals also provide you with a slight pinch of cultural taste. It comprises of welcome dinner and breakfast. Firstly, welcome embraces the refreshments after you reach the arrival destination, Kathmandu. Secondly, you can enjoy the traditional Nepali cuisine that is a blend of rice, lentils, vegetables and pickle. We respect and provide the choice of vegetarian or non-vegetarian food. Lastly, breakfast consists of organic tea or fresh plump of organic fruits. You are given a choice of a range of bakeries and cookies.
