Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu (Altitude 1400 m)

Nepal Big Mountain Travel believes in persistence and belongingness. On day 1, arrival day, a representative in formal attire with garlands (Mala) and traditional Buddhist ceremonial scarf (Khata) will welcome you. This is a traditional welcoming gesture of Nepalese. The representative will guide you to the hotel. You can wander around the streets of Thamel and explore shops during the late afternoon. Then, a cultural dinner is presented overnight at Tourist Standard hotel in Kathmandu or similar class.

Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (5-6 hours)

New daylight begins the day and you will have your breakfast early in the morning. Then, you go on an interesting long drive of 5-6 hours to Pokhara from Kathmandu. You will engage in observing the beauty of Pokhara passing through Himalayan Rivers – Trishuli, Marsyangdi, and Seti. The high current of the rivers offers you a prospect of rafting which can be your next possible destination of another package we offer. During the afternoon, you can go boating in Fewa Lake. You observe the panoramic view of Macchapuchre, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu ranges. At evening, you can see the pleasant view of the sunset as well and capture the moment in your camera. You stay the night at tourist standard hotel in Pokhara.

Day 3: Drive from Pokhara to Phedi and trek to Dhampus (Altitude 800 m)

You begin with your breakfast, then, you go on a 30-minute ride to Phedi on a private vehicle. Your day in Phedi will be an adventurous hike to the scenic views. That is climbing through beautiful forest and countryside for the next 3 hours to reach the hilltop named Dhampus.
The quiet, serene and amazingly beautiful Dhampus provides a view of gorgeous peaks. This shall include the Annapurna range, the Fishtail, Dhaulagiri, Hiunchuli, Lamjung Himal and other peaks. The mountains Annapurna and Dhaulagiri are kept under top 10 highest peaks in the world. You will spend overnight at Dhampus.

Day 4: Trek to Australian camp to Sarangkot (5-6 hours)

You emerge from the area of Dhampus from where you can enjoy the panoramic scenery of Annapurna, Macchapuchre, Dhaulagiri and Lamjung Himal. You will move up towards the 2100m altitude. You will start gently climb up through the rhododendron and oak forests until reaching Pothana which takes about 1 and half hour. You are thrilled with the climbing up with stone staircases until reaching Australian Camp which takes about 1 hour. When you accomplish today’s goal of reaching Sarangkot, you gain the reward of the mesmerizing view of the sunrise over the White Mountains of Whole Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Ranges including Fishtail from the Sarangkot tower. You spend the night at a teahouse in Sarangkot.

Day 5: Hike to Pokhara and sightseeing

After your breakfast in the hotel, you will return to Pokhara after 3 hours walk. You can go to the famous Peace Pagoda another side from the Lake by taking a boat and hike up to there. You will spend some quality time at the Lake Side. You can enjoy boating in Fewa Lake and a religious trip to the temple situated in the middle of the lake, Tal Barahi, giving you a feeling of a religious island. If you want to be drawn aback by boating in the serene lake that covers Sarangkot and Kaskikot as well as gets a bonus of soothing your eyes with the view of the reflection of Mount Macchapuchre, Fewa Lake awaits you in Pokhara. The Trekking Group

The trek includes a trekking group of 2-12 members. As a member of the trekking group, you will receive the reward of one assistant guide with the addition to one main guide or leader to gain as much information from the trekking route possible. The group can be customized as per your need by providing the necessary information. For the details, please refer to the additional information.

The group is under the supervision of the main guide. The main guide considers the directions information and safety concerns. This will make your trip safer.

Accommodations

You stay at the 3-star hotel in all cities and teahouses throughout the tour. All accommodations are on a twin-sharing basis. After the tour, you can take a hot water bath in the hotel and recreate yourself for the amazing tour that awaits you the next day. Activities may include enjoying a drink in the bar with your new travel friends and exploring the unique service every hotel provides. The stay in teahouses will be in a calm and cosy lodge with Wi-Fi so that you can watch YouTube vlogs and other sites of your choice. The bakery is the attraction of teahouses where you can choose from various sweet dishes. You can feel the natural beauty of the place through the serene hotel in a quiet environment away from the city pollution. You can upgrade your room and hotel with a reasonable extra charge. However, it might be difficult to find a single room at higher elevations.

Meals

The meals also provide you with a slight pinch of cultural taste. It comprises of welcome dinner and breakfast. Firstly, welcome embraces the refreshments after you reach the arrival destination, Kathmandu. Secondly, you can enjoy traditional Nepali cuisine. that is a blend of rice, lentils, vegetables, and pickle. We respect and provide the choice of vegetarian or non-vegetarian food. Lastly, breakfast consists of organic tea or fresh plump of organic fruits. You are given a choice of a range of bakeries and cookies. Breakfasts are only provided in the city tours.

The trip excludes lunch and dinner so that you can explore the multiple choices of cuisines in Nepal without being bound by the travel agency. However, you can choose meals according to your preferences excluding the provision at your own expense.

Nepal Big Mountain also provides a provision of lunch and dinner for the minimum amount of extra USD 25 per person per day for city tours. In addition to it, during the trekking period, for the prerequisites of breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the minimum amount of extra USD 40 per person per day is provided such that you have the convenience of easy access to meals throughout the trek.

Physical Condition & Experience Requirements

Any interested aspirant can join the trip since it includes a short distance walk only. There is maximum convenience for the people who travel. Main pros of this trip are that it is suitable for any being who is an enthusiast on the tour for a meaningful trip. However, the traveller must specify any kinds of sickness, diseases or phobias before the trip because Nepal Big Mountain believes every traveller needs to be under perfect care and guidance to enjoy the trip with the best convenience possible. Children above 5 years, youngsters, adults, or elders, anyone is welcomed with open arms. In spite of this, the children and elders are to be under the guidance of their guardian.

Best Time to Travel

The trip is a blend of adventure and culture in a short with great comfort. There is a rush of tourists during their vacations. It is recommended that you visit in the month of September- November as you can enjoy the spring weather with the biggest occasion of Nepal that lasts a month, Dashain and Tihar. The months of December- January will help you to connect more with the Gurung community and celebrate the upcoming New Year, Tamu Lhosar with them.

The choice of these months will give you a great chance to view the beauty of Himalayas at their best. There are blooming flowers in this season. The trail will be colourful and eye-catching giving you a different level of energy during these months.
