Upon arrival in Kathmandu, our official representative from NBM travel will pick you up at the airport with garlands and Khada(a traditional way of welcoming guests in Nepal) and guide you to your hotel room.
This is going to be a relaxing and chill day. We will prepare ourselves for the trek ahead and enjoy our spare time exploring the city as well. We will explore the renowned places in Kathmandu city.
We will be witnessing the world heritage sites as well including; the Boudhanath stupa, Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, and Bhaktapur Durbar square.
We rise early today as an enthralling adventure lies ahead of us. We will rise early to take a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. This is an enthralling adventure in itself as you will be witnessing astounding views of the snow-covered peaks, landscapes, and greenery.
After enjoying your breakfast in Phakding, you will elevate through a steep and steady inclination toward Namche Bazaar. It starts getting challenging as you elevate further. Located in the Khumbu region of Nepal, Phakding is a small and delightful village located at 3,440 meters above sea level.
Phakding is the renowned stopping site for trekkers in the Everest region. The primal source of income for people in this region is Tourism. The journey from Phakding to Namche Bazaar includes passing over numerous suspension bridges. This trail entails intriguing natural beauty and high snow-covered mountains.
After enjoying our breakfast, we will follow a steep, elevated trail towards Namche Bazaar. Upon picking the altitude, you start to feel the challenge. You need to cross numerous high-suspension bridges over the Dudh-Koshi river.
Just over Monjo village lies the entrance of the Sgaramatha National park. The trail gets steeper as you get ahead
After trekking for about 4-5 hours, across the Dudh Koshi river bank and then ascending through the Namche hill. You will then reach the delightful town of Sherpa named as Namche Bazaar. It is the gateway to the majestic mount Everest and the tourist hub of the Everest region. Namche is also a historical trading hub. You can explore the town later in the evening.
From Namche Bazaar, the trail ascends and dips to Sanasa, then gently descends towards Teshinga before dropping abruptly to Phunki Thanga. Here you will cross the Dudh Koshi river. It will take about 2 hours of climbing to reach Tengboche. From Phunki Thanga, it takes two hours of climbing to get to Tengboche. Here you will visit the Tengboche Monastery which carries immense religious significance. A famous Mani Rimdu festival is celebrated during the full moon in November.
On day 8, we trek to Pangboche, leveling up from the valley. The trail passes through lush rhododendron forest before crossing the ijma khola offering great views of Ama Dablam. Then, gradually passing the beautifully carved mani stones and eventually reaching the village of Pangboche. Then we take an acclimatization trek for preparing to trek to the Ama Dablam base camp.
We will be trekking down by crossing the bridge at Pangboche over the Dudh Koshi river. Then we elevate further following the trail to the Ama Dablam base camp. Located at an altitude of 4600m, Ama Dablam base camp offers unparalleled views of the majestic mountains. We will spend the night here at the tented camp. This is a magnificent experience in itself.
We cannot provide a day-day itinerary for the Ama Dablam base camp as the trip will be decided by the expedition leaders and the members. A flexible approach will be taken; that which best suits the travelers and their expectations. A few days are required to organize food, practice rope skills, and acclimatization before heading toward the base camp. But we promise a thrilling adventure with a lifetime of memories.
After we are done with the expedition, we return back to Lukla by trekking. We will take our time trekking back to Lukla. Reflecting back on the journey, pacing ourselves, and enjoying the serene atmosphere, we eventually reach Lukla.
This is where we conclude our mesmerizing trip to the astounding Ama Dablam. On this day we rise early and board a flight to Kathmandu from Lukla. Upon reaching Kathmandu, we have a leisurely day ahead. We can spend this day exploring Kathmandu city, shopping for souvenirs. Our tour guides will assist you with the exploration and shopping if you want.
The captivating adventure officially comes to an end on day 28. Our official representative will drop you to the Tribhuwan International Airport, 3-4 hours prior to your flight back home.
