Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, our official representative will pick you up, direct you to the hotel, and guide you through the check-in procedure.

Day 2

Sightseeing Tour In Kathmandu

Your second day in Kathmandu is going to be a mesmerizing journey. One of our tour guides will pick you up at the hotel for this magnificent sightseeing tour. We dedicate this day to visiting the world heritage sites in Kathmandu. 

We start the journey by visiting the renowned Kathmandu Durbar Square. Several temples surround this space. One of these temples is a shrine for the living goddess Kumari in Nepal. 

From here, we travel to another famous destination, Swayambhunath temple, also regarded as the monkey temple. The Swyambhunath temple lies at the top of a hill and offers astounding views of the Kathmandu valley. This is a requisite destination for Buddhist followers. 

Then we drive to the Boudhanath Temple. The Boudhanath stupa is a huge white dome with the seraphic impression of lord Buddha. This is another important destination for Buddhist followers. The magnificent stupa is surrounded by numerous cafes and you can catch amazing views of the Boudhanath stupa in front of the rooftops. 

The final destination for the day is the holy Pashupatinath Temple. The Pashupatinath temple holds immense religious significance. This place is devoted to lord Shiva and is holy ground for Hindu devotees. 

After we complete this sightseeing tour, we devour a filling lunch at a fine restaurant. We then head back to our hotel where the guide will give us a brief explanation about our Gokyo Renjo La Pass trek. 

After the briefing session, you can shop for the remaining items needed for the trek. After that, you can rest after returning to your hotel as we are embarking on a new and exciting journey the very next day.

Day 3

Flight From Kathmandu To Lukla And Trek To Phakding(2610m)

After a sound sleep in Kathmandu, we begin our trek to Gokyo and Renjo La Pass trek. On Day 3, we woke up to catch an early domestic flight to Lukla. This is a 35-minute flight filled with serene views of the astounding mountain ranges and green valleys. After enjoying these appealing scenarios, we arrive at Lukla airport. 

The official Gokyo Renjo La Pass trek begins from Lukla towards Phakding. We then walk past the airport viewing area towards the central alley where we enjoy our breakfast. After devouring a filling breakfast, we continue the walk through the alley and reach the Khumbu Pasang Lhamhu Rural municipality office. You need to purchase the permit to trek further from here. 

From this point, we walk towards Cheplung village, where we enjoy our lunch. Then we pass through the lush jungles and pass the small villages. This route entails, fields of buckwheat, cross rows of Dahlia trees, and potatoes. This trail is a mix of downhill and uphill sections. This trail is made up of a mixture of stone pathways, dirt, and a few rocky areas. However, these trials are pretty straightforward and not so troubling. 

We eventually descend towards Phakding, a delightful village in the lower terrains. You will witness more greenery here. This region offers stunning views of the holy mountain, Khumbila(5761). You can wander around this beautiful village and sleep early to be prepared for the following day.

Day 4

Trek to Namche Bazaar (3445m)

On day 5, we trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar. It is a central tourist hub of the Everest region. The walk on day 4 is the toughest walk. It is relatively long as you gain 4000m altitude on this day. 

We will start the day early and cross the suspension bridge which is on the other side of the village. We then eventually reach the Sagarmatha National Park permit counter. After receiving the permit, we cross the station and head out the gate. Walking downhill towards the river. From here, you will pass numerous short and long suspension bridges. 

Eventually, you reach the delightful village of Bhenkar, you get a glimpse of Mount Everest from here. Then we elevate through the stairs and pass over the Dudh Koshi river using the Hillary Suspension bridge. 

You get to witness the delightful views of mountains, rivers, forests, and valleys. After that, the inclination gets steeper as you gain elevation. Then we eventually reach a place where we can enjoy our lunch.

Thereafter, we resume the walk through lush rhododendron forests and reach the checkpoint. Then we quickly reach our destination for the day, Namche Bazaar. It is one of the most happening places in the Khumbu region. This place is renowned for its homemade yak butter and cheese. You can explore this beautiful place and interact with people here.

Day 5

Acclimatization At Namche Bazaar

This day is dedicated to acclimatization. During your stay here, you can also take short hikes to the outskirts of this town. You will be enjoying your breakfast at the highest-altitude hotel, Hotel Everest View. 

This is a wonderful spot to witness the flabbergasting views of the Majestic Mount Everest along with Ama Dablam, Makalu, and Dorje Lakpa. Then you eventually trek down to the village of Khumjung, the largest Sherpa town of Khumbu. 

If you visit the Khumjung Monastery, you get a chance to witness a yeti skull. And later trekking to Khunde village to explore an ancient monastery.

Day 6

Trek to Dole (4150m)

Heading north, you follow the Dudh Koshi river towards the astounding, Ngozumpa Glacier. Then we take a short climb to witness the appalling views of Lhotse and Everest. Then you follow the mainstream trail passing Tibetan handwork shops. Then you gradually reach Dole.

Day 7

Trek to Machhermo (4470m)

On day 7 we will take a steady climb along the valley, passing through lush juniper forests that dominate the woods, heading towards a beautiful settlement offering astounding views of Kantega, Cho you, and Thamserku.

Day 8

Trek to Gokyo (4750m)

The trek to Gokyo starts after a brief breakfast in Machhermo. Enjoying the breathtaking views of Cho Oyu and Kantega we ascend further to reach Gokyo Village. Then you head north from Gokyo to reach the fourth lake. Then we continue the journey to reach the fifth lake. 

From this point, you will enjoy amazing views of Gyachung Kang, Ngozumpa glacier, Makalu, Lhotse, and other snow-covered peaks.

Day 9

Hike To Gokyo Ri Early In The Morning(5360m)

Gokyo village is another resting spot for trekkers. The trail reaching the Gokyo Ri is steep and entails rough and rocky parts at several points. With continuous determination, you reach the top of Gokyo Ri to witness the glorious sunrise.

Day 10

Cross The Renjo La Pass & Trek Down To Lungden (4350m)

Day 10 is also going to be a long walk as you will be crossing over Renjo La Pass today. The trek is going to be exciting yet challenging with numerous ups and downs. After having an Early morning breakfast, we head back to the lake. Then we elevate uphill, following a zigzag path. Upon elevating further, the path gets steeper until you reach Renjo La Pass. 

You will witness the flabbergasting views of the Cho Oyu, Nuptse, Cholatse, Makalu, and more. Upon descending through delightful meadows towards the Bhotekhoshi valley, you walk across the river and head towards Lungden. Lungden offers basic facilities and numerous teahouses. You can engage in conversations with the villages to gain more insight into the geographical and cultural significance of this place. 

Day 11

Trek Down To Thame (3850m) And Visit Thame Monastery

On this day, we trek down to Thame from Lungden to visit the Thame monastery. You cross numerous quiet villages and the east side of the river. We then gradually walk towards Marulung and pass through the bridge over the Bhotekoshi river. Then the trail passes through several ascends and descends till you reach Taranga. 

You will come across diverse flora and fauna on your way to Thame. Then you pass several old walled Sherpa villages demonstrating their true culture.

Day 12

Trek From Thame To Namche Bazaar

Leaving the Thame village, you then head towards the Sherpa town, Namche bazaar. You then pass along the glacial stream and gradually descend toward the Bhotekoshi Valley. You then cross the river gorge via a suspension bridge and enter the mysterious forest including; pines, rhododendron, and birch. You eventually ascend above the Bhotekoshi through delightful Sherpa Villages. Namche bazaar also offers cafes and restaurants with wifi and western food. You can roam around the town and enjoy yourself.

Day 13

Trek From Namche To Lukla

After a mesmerizing experience of the Gokyo and Renjo La Pass trek, we trek back to Lukla before flying to Kathmandu. We enjoy our breakfast and hit the road following the same steps and heading down the village. After trekking for some time, we arrive at the rest spot and catch a final glimpse of Mount Everest.

Day 14

Flight To Kathmandu

We catch an early flight back to Kathmandu. We return enjoying the same astounding landscapes and flabbergasting mountain views. We bid our final goodbye to the Everest region. Upon landing at the Tribhuwan International Airport, our guides will drop you at the hotel room. You can relax, shop, or wander around the city as the remaining day is leisure.

Day 15

Final Transfer To The Airport For Your Flight Back Home.

Day 15, a mesmerizing trip to Gokyo and Renjo La Pass. On this day you will take a flight back home. Our official representative will drop you at the airport 3-4 hours prior to the departure time.

The tour gave me such an amazing experience, especially about the cultural, historical and religious values of Nepalis. 2 colleagues and me went on 1 tour of NBM Travel, in 4 nights and 5 days in Nepal (Limbini, Nagarkot, and Kathmandu). Fantastic We had such a fantastic experience in Nepal with this tour company. We were overwhelmed by how welcoming and warm Sudarshan and his team were from the moment we arrived. We felt so comparable and taken care of in the beautiful Nivas Botique home in Kathmandu. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. We enjoyed delicious, complimentary authentic Nepalese meals and had such a fanatic stay here. We travelled to Pokhara for 2 nights in very comfortable private transportation. We had a fantastic 2 days of activities including paragliding and white water rafting, all organised for us. We couldn’t have asked for a better trip and I couldn’t recommend using this travel company more. We will definitely be back in the future!

Great if you have limited time to visit the city I was in Nepal in November and after a trek of 10 days I only had 1 and a half day to visit Kathmandu. I found out many places to visit in Kathmandu are far from each other (5 to 10 km) and walking between places is not an option (heavy traffic). So I decided to book a private tour (I was a solo traveller) and had a great experience. My guide Raj took me to all the important places , UNESCO sites, and explained everything about the place we were visiting. I would recommend this tour to anyone who has limited time to explore the city. -1 point as the guides will take you to shop/restaurant they have an agreement with, I didn't mind the shop as they don't force you to buy anything, but I would have wanted to choose the restaurant by myself

Cable Car Trip near Kathmandu Me and my friends travelled Kathmandu this July and we went for a short distance trip to Chandragiri Hill. Cable Car took us to Chandragiri hill, which is best to escape from hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. The view of Kathmandu was beautiful as rain cleared up the sky. The guide we were provided was professional and he told us incredible stories of the hill. Overall it was fantastic trip.

Trekking, Local, culture views and sites 5 days in Nepal trek was awesome. We went to Sundarijal, then to Chisapani walking a lot of stairs and then to Nagarkot. We could see beautiful peaks from Dhaulagiri to Everest. People at Sundarijal seem very friendly. All in all, our trek was very nice and we enjoyed it very much.

Amazing Trip! Thank you to the folks at NBM Travel for an awesome trip to Nepal! Shristi was incredibly helpful with coordinating everything and answering all of my silly logistical questions from the moment I booked the trip. My tour guide Mani provided so much support on the tour, from sharing his knowledge about Nepali culture and history, to helping me find souvenirs at a good price, to rearranging our itinerary when we had weather delays. I chose this tour specifically to learn about the many cultures and lifestyles of Nepal and was not disappointed. Each location was so different from the last - Kathmandu is the chaotic capital, Chitwan is a gorgeous jungle where you’ll see animals that you’d never expect to see up close in real life (still can’t believe how close I was to crocodiles and a rhino!), and Pokhara feels like a cute beach resort. We were unable to go to Lumbini due to weather, so we spent an extra day in Pokhara and an extra day in Kathmandu, which worked out fine for relaxing and shopping. Even the bus rides between cities were interesting because you could see examples of life in the countryside and some really cool landscapes. There was a decent balance of sightseeing and free time, and I really liked each of the hotels we stayed at. If you are interested in learning about Nepal beyond trekking, this is a great introduction. They have such an interesting diversity and unique history, I wish more people knew about it!If you go in July, like I did, you’ll likely catch some rain (monsoon season), so make sure you pack accordingly! Rain boots, rain coat, and quick dry pants worked well on rainy days and the boat tour/jungle trek in Chitwan, plus a few pairs of comfortable pants and a pair of sandals for sunny days. Don’t let the name “monsoon” scare you off from coming if this is the only time of year you can go. You’ll still see, do, and eat a lot! (Make sure you have dal bhat and momo while you are here...they are the best!)
