On your first day, you will get a grand welcome from our representative in formal attire with garlands and a traditional Buddhist ceremonial scarf (Khada). After that, the representative will guide you to your hotel. You will spend the night here at the hotel in Kathmandu.
We will dedicate the second day of our trip to sightseeing the Hindu temples in Kathmandu. First, we will visit the major Hindu temples, including; Guheshwori, SwayambhuNath, Pashupatinath, and so on.
Pashupatinath Temple
Pashupatinath Temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is revered as the most sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Its two-tiered pagoda roof and golden doorways make it a stunning architectural marvel and a popular pilgrimage destination for devotees from around the world.
Swayambhunath
Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple, is an ancient Buddhist temple. It’s unique for its large dome-shaped stupa covered in prayer flags, painted eyes symbolizing the Buddha’s all-seeing gaze, and its surrounding shrines and monasteries that make it a hub of Buddhist culture and spiritual practice.
Guheshwori Temple
Guheshwori Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Taleju. It holds immense religious and cultural significance, especially among the Newar community, and is considered one of the sacred Shakti Peeths, where devotees come to pay homage and receive blessings. The temple is known for its intricate carvings and sculptures, showcasing the rich Nepalese architectural heritage.
The spiritual journey continues as we visit other Hindu temples inside and near the Kathmandu Valley. We will continue the journey visiting Shesh Narayan temple, Krishna temple, Banglamukhi Temple, and the Dakshinkali temple which is just an hour away from the Kathmandu Valley. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Shesh Narayan Temple
Shesh Narayan Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is considered one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Pharping, 20km far from Kathmandu. The temple is renowned for its spiritual significance and is believed to have been visited by Lord Buddha himself, as well as many other revered saints and sages. The temple complex includes several smaller shrines, painted with intricate designs and carvings, and is surrounded by lush greenery, making it a peaceful and serene place for meditation and reflection.
Banglamukhi Temple
Banglamukhi Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Banglamukhi, who is worshipped as the deity of power and victory. The temple is considered one of the sacred shrines of the goddess in the region. Devotees come to the temple to offer prayers and seek blessings, especially for success in business and legal matters. The temple complex is adorned with intricate carvings and sculptures, and its peaceful atmosphere attracts many visitors for spiritual and cultural pursuits.
Dakshinkali Temple
Dakshinkali Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Kali. The temple is considered one of the most important shrines of the goddess in the region and attracts thousands of devotees from all over the country who come to offer sacrifices and seek blessings. The temple is also famous for its twice-weekly animal sacrifices, which are performed as a form of worship to the goddess.
On day 4, we leave Kathmandu and head towards Pokhara. On our way to Pokhara, we stop by the renowned Manakamana temple. The Manakamana temple is renowned for wish fulfillment. It is said that whatever you pray for in this temple will come true. We will take a cable car ride to reach the Manakamana Temple. After the temple visit, we head towards Pokhara and spend the night at Pokhara.
Manakamana Temple
Manakamana Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Manakamana in the Gorkha district of Nepal. It is one of the most revered shrines of the goddess and is believed to fulfill the wishes of those who make the pilgrimage to the temple. The temple can be reached by taking a scenic cable car ride, offering stunning views of the surrounding Himalayan landscape.
A new adventure awaits upon waking up on Day 5. We take a flight to Jomsom from Pokhara. Then we drive towards The Muktinath Temple. The Muktinath temple has a distinct significance as per the Hindu tradition. This temple is regarded as the temple of liberation. Numerous seekers tend to visit Muktinath every year. We visit the Muktinath temple and drive back to Jomsom, where we will spend the night.
Muktinath Temple
Muktinath Temple is a Hindu and Buddhist temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is located in the Mustang district of Nepal and is considered one of the 108 sacred Vaishnavite shrines. The temple is also one of the four sacred shrines of the Hindu religion, known as Char Dham. It is known for its stunning mountain views and is a popular pilgrimage site for devotees from all over the world who come to seek blessings and offer prayers.
On day 6, we fly back to Pokhara from Jomsom. We will have an entire day for sightseeing in Pokhara. We will visit the renowned religious spots in Pokhara valley including; Vindabasini temple, Gupteshwor mahadev, Barahi temple.
Vindabasini Temple
Vindabasini Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Vindabasini. It is considered one of the most important shrines of the goddess in the region and is a popular pilgrimage site for devotees who come to offer prayers and seek blessings. The temple is surrounded by lush greenery and is known for its peaceful and serene atmosphere. It consists of several smaller shrines, each dedicated to different Hindu deities.
Gupteshwor Mahadev
Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave Temple is a Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, the deity of destruction and transformation, and it is known for its unique setting inside a cave. The temple is located near the base of the Machhapuchhre mountain and is surrounded by lush forests and tranquil streams, making it a peaceful and serene place for meditation and reflection. The temple is also considered a sacred site for the preservation of traditional Nepalese Hinduism and the rich cultural heritage of the region. Devotees come to Gupteshwor Mahadev Temple to offer prayers and seek blessings from Lord Shiva.
Barahi Temple
Barahi Temple is a Hindu shrine dedicated to the goddess Barahi, who is revered as the protector of sailors. It is one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the region and is situated on an island in the middle of Lake Phewa, surrounded by stunning mountain views. The temple is also a popular destination for tourists who come to enjoy the beautiful setting and experience traditional Nepalese culture and spirituality.
On day 7, we take a drive back to Kathmandu. The journey will be 6-7 hours long; you can utilize this time to enjoy the serene natural views, including appealing landscapes and pristine rivers passing by. Or you can utilize the time by reflecting upon the spiritually fulfilling trip as it comes to an end.
Day 8 will be the final day of the trip. This is the departure day. You can also extend your stay and take additional trips if you want. You can connect with NBM travels for additional adventurous trips in Nepal.
