Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu

Day 1 starts with your arrival in Kathmandu. A representative from Nepal Big Mountain receive you at the airport and welcome you with garlands (Mala) and a Tibetan scarf. The representative will then transfer you to the hotel and tell you about the plans further. You can stroll around the area or take a rest for the remaining day. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 2

Kathmandu Sightseeing

The second day includes touring and sightseeing some major tourist destinations in Kathmandu including Swoyambhunath, Patan Durbar Square, Pashupatinath and Boudhanath. Along with the sightseeing, you can also enjoy the culture and cuisine of the city. You will make proper arrangements for your Jomsom Muktinath trek this day and prepare mentally for the journey. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 3

Drive to Pokhara (820 m)

The next day, you will start your scenic drive to Pokhara following an early morning breakfast. One of our representatives will pick you up and escort you to the bus station where you will take a tourist bus. Enjoy the amazing views of rivers, rocky gorges, cascading rice terraces, and snowy mountains along the road. You will stop on the way for lunch and upon reaching Pokhara, you can refresh yourself in a lakeside hotel. You can take a stroll around the lakeside and visit Phewa lake to see a spectacular reflection of Annapurna and Machhapuchare peaks on the clear water. Overnight at the hotel in Pokhara.

Day 4

Pokhara to Tikhedhunga (1570m)

The next day, following a nourishing breakfast, you will take a short drive through beautiful landscape to reach Nayapul which will be your starting point for your Lower Mustang Trek. You will inaugurate your first steps on the trail that follows a fertile jungle and terraced fields along the Modi River. Pass through several rural settlements and a small waterfall, you will reach Tikhedunga where you have dinner and spend the night in a guest house.

Day 5

Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2,860 m)

Day 5 involves a vigorous ascent as you will have to climb a long, steep series of stone steps to reach Ghorepani. You will walk along the exotic steep trails through scenic villages and timberland, and as you cross a suspension bridge and finish climbing a stone staircase (3300 steps), you will find yourself in the large Magar village of Ulleri (2080m). As you walk further through a rhododendron forest and old oak forests, you will reach the Ghorepani village where you can see astonishing views of the snow-capped mountains such as the Annapurnas, Machhapuchhare, and Hiunchuli. Overnight in Ghorepani.

Day 6

Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3,210 m) to Tatopani (1,200 m)

Day 6 marks a significant highlight of Jomsom Muktinath trekking as today, you start trekking early in the morning to make your way to Poon Hill which is a famous viewpoint in the Annapurna region. Following a 45-minute uphill trek, you will reach Poon Hill from where you can see an epic sunrise gleaming over the Himalayas, along the panoramic views of Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, and the Annapurna mountains.

You then walk downwards along a pleasant rhododendron forest trail, and after crossing the Kali Gandaki river, you will reach Tatopani where you can find several natural hot springs. You can take a dip in the spring and savor the experience. Overnight at a guesthouse in Tadapani.

Day 7

Tatopani to Ghasa (1,190 m)

Day 7 will be your first day hiking in the mountain. After having a delicate breakfast, you will start walking towards Ghasa through a wide dirt road. Along the way, you will have beautiful views of the Kali Gandaki Gorge which is the deepest gorge in the world. Crossing a range of ruler villages and some spectacular landscapes, you will finally reach Ghasa, a peaceful village populated by Thakali people. You can explore the village for the rest of the day. Dinner and Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Ghasa.

Day 8

Ghasa to Tukche (2,510 m)

Today you will continue your Jomsom Muktinath trek with a journey up the Kali Gandaki. You climb up steadily through peaceful forests and the settlements of Lete and Kalapani until you reach Titi via Kunjo, a village inhabited by the Thakali people. You then hike up to Nupsang hill where you can catch a magnificent view of the Annapurna peaks. After a downhill walk, you will reach Kali Gandaki River and if you walk further through Sirkung and a wooden bridge, you will reach Tukuche after crossing. Overnight at a guesthouse in Tukuche.

Day 9

Tukche to Kagbeni (2,900)

Day 9 starts with a trek through the scenic village of Marpha through the scenic village of Marpha with thrilling views of the surrounding mountains and landscape. The trial follows a pleasant valley of the Kali Gandaki and the small Dhumbar Lake. You will keep walking until you reach Kagbeni, an ancient trade post that has a popular Buddhist monastery. You can explore the beautiful town for the remaining day. Overnight in Kagbeni.

Day 10

Kagbeni to Muktinath (3,855 m)

On day 10, you will start an exciting journey up the legendary Thorung La pass which is a part of Annapurna Circuit. The eye-catching views of Thorong peak, Nilgiri, and Dhaulagiri will overwhelm you along the way. You will make a scenic climb up the Jhong River valley and then pass ancient villages to reach Muktinath which is the most sacred temple and a pilgrimage destination for Hindus and Buddhists. People from all around the world come here to get salvation from the sins of life. The temple consists of Buddhist monasteries, Hindu shrines, and 108 bathing spouts. Overnight at a local guesthouse.

Day 11

Muktinath to Jomsom (2,720 m)

Day 11 is when you finally reach Jomsom. You first make a climb to Lubra Danda and then down to the Lubra, which is a picturesque Thakali village, from where you can see stunning views of the Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, and Tukuche peaks. You then walk further along a wide and flat trail to reach Jomsom which is located on the banks of Kali Gandaki River valley. Jomsom is the windiest place in Nepal that provides you with incredible adventure opportunities. You can explore the Jomsom bazaar and its beautiful settlements throughout the day. Overnight at a local guesthouse.

Day 12

Jomsom to Pokhara

Today is the goodbye to Jomsom as you will take an early morning flight back to Pokhara through the southern section of the Kali Gandaki valley. This day will be the exploration day for you in Pokhara. You can either go souvenir shopping or just relax in your hotel. Overnight in Pokhara.

Day 13

Return to Kathmandu

The next day, you will have a nourishing breakfast and then take a comfortable tourist bus to drive back to Kathmandu. You can see the diverse landscapes and beautiful mountain views from the window. Upon reaching Kathmandu, our representative will take you to your hotel where you can take a rest. You can explore the city for the rest of the day. We will organize a farewell dinner for you. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 14

Departure

Your Jomsom Muktinath trek package is now officially ended. The day 14, our representative will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the airport from where you can take a flight home.

The tour gave me such an amazing experience, especially about the cultural, historical and religious values of Nepalis. 2 colleagues and me went on 1 tour of NBM Travel, in 4 nights and 5 days in Nepal (Limbini, Nagarkot, and Kathmandu). Mr Sujit, the Manager was very supportive in arranging a customized tour for us, meeting all our requirements. Fantastic We had such a fantastic experience in Nepal with this tour company. We were overwhelmed by how welcoming and warm Sudarshan and his team were from the moment we arrived. We felt so comparable and taken care of in the beautiful Nivas Botique home in Kathmandu. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. We enjoyed delicious, complimentary authentic Nepalese meals and had such a fanatic stay here. We travelled to Pokhara for 2 nights in very comfortable private transportation. We had a fantastic 2 days of activities including paragliding and white water rafting, all organised for us. We couldn’t have asked for a better trip and I couldn’t recommend using this travel company more. We will definitely be back in the future!

很棒的旅游体验-Kathmandu 一直有想去尼泊尔旅行的想法,前些日子终于下决心仔细研究了,人生地不熟的,问了朋友的朋友有没有旅行社推荐,就推荐了这家,英文名NBM中文名大山旅游,老板中文名也叫大山,感觉对中国文化很有研究,让我们这种出国游的感觉很安心。老板很靠谱,给安排了懂中文的向导,沟通很顺利,人也很亲切。不得不说尼泊尔景色真不错,适合放松身心,有机会的话还会再来,也会多推荐大山旅游的。

Great if you have limited time to visit the city I was in Nepal in November and after a trek of 10 days I only had 1 and a half day to visit Kathmandu. I found out many places to visit in Kathmandu are far from each other (5 to 10 km) and walking between places is not an option (heavy traffic). So I decided to book a private tour (I was a solo traveller) and had a great experience. My guide Raj took me to all the important places , UNESCO sites, and explained everything about the place we were visiting. I would recommend this tour to anyone who has limited time to explore the city. -1 point as the guides will take you to shop/restaurant they have an agreement with, I didn't mind the shop as they don't force you to buy anything, but I would have wanted to choose the restaurant by myself

Cable Car Trip near Kathmandu Me and my friends travelled Kathmandu this July and we went for a short distance trip to Chandragiri Hill. Cable Car took us to Chandragiri hill, which is best to escape from hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. The view of Kathmandu was beautiful as rain cleared up the sky. The guide we were provided was professional and he told us incredible stories of the hill. Overall it was fantastic trip.

Trekking, Local, culture views and sites 5 days in Nepal trek was awesome. We went to Sundarijal, then to Chisapani walking a lot of stairs and then to Nagarkot. We could see beautiful peaks from Dhaulagiri to Everest. People at Sundarijal seem very friendly. All in all, our trek was very nice and we enjoyed it very much.

Amazing Trip! Thank you to the folks at NBM Travel for an awesome trip to Nepal! Shristi was incredibly helpful with coordinating everything and answering all of my silly logistical questions from the moment I booked the trip. My tour guide Mani provided so much support on the tour, from sharing his knowledge about Nepali culture and history, to helping me find souvenirs at a good price, to rearranging our itinerary when we had weather delays. I chose this tour specifically to learn about the many cultures and lifestyles of Nepal and was not disappointed. Each location was so different from the last - Kathmandu is the chaotic capital, Chitwan is a gorgeous jungle where you’ll see animals that you’d never expect to see up close in real life (still can’t believe how close I was to crocodiles and a rhino!), and Pokhara feels like a cute beach resort. We were unable to go to Lumbini due to weather, so we spent an extra day in Pokhara and an extra day in Kathmandu, which worked out fine for relaxing and shopping. Even the bus rides between cities were interesting because you could see examples of life in the countryside and some really cool landscapes. There was a decent balance of sightseeing and free time, and I really liked each of the hotels we stayed at. If you are interested in learning about Nepal beyond trekking, this is a great introduction. They have such an interesting diversity and unique history, I wish more people knew about it!If you go in July, like I did, you’ll likely catch some rain (monsoon season), so make sure you pack accordingly! Rain boots, rain coat, and quick dry pants worked well on rainy days and the boat tour/jungle trek in Chitwan, plus a few pairs of comfortable pants and a pair of sandals for sunny days. Don’t let the name “monsoon” scare you off from coming if this is the only time of year you can go. You’ll still see, do, and eat a lot! (Make sure you have dal bhat and momo while you are here...they are the best!)
