Day 1: Arrival Day

After arriving at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will meet an NBM representative who will be waiting to welcome you with a placard with your name on it. Shortly, he will drive you to the hotel in our private vehicle. After hotel check-in, you can have time to rest and refresh before our representative briefs you on our trip plan in detail. Later in the day, you can stroll around Thamel and explore the local street market.
In the evening, we will present you with a Nepali cultural dinner in an authentic Nepali restaurant. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.
After early morning breakfast, you will prepare to embark on a full-day sightseeing tour around Kathmandu Valley. Today, you will visit cultural and historic sites such as Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanat Stupa. Each site offers a window to look over Nepalese history and culture.
Swayambhunath Stupa
Swayambhunath, also popular as the Monkey Temple, is a salient religious site in Nepal for Hindus as well as Buddhists. The holy site has also been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site for its unique architecture and religious and cultural importance. On the site, you will observe the ancient temple, shrines, and prayer wheels, which offer glimpses into Nepalese culture. Plus, the site is situated at the top of the hill, which is ideal to enjoy the breathtaking view of Kathmandu Valley from the top.
Kathmandu Durbar Square also introduces itself as Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square, where the icon of lord Hanuman sits near the main entry gate. This UNESCO World Heritage site once served as home to the royal past and offers a sight into the country’s history. During the visit here, you will explore the complex palaces and courtyards, each amazes you with intricate architecture, art, and designs. The site also includes numerous cultural monuments including the Taleju Temple and the Kasthamandap Temple, which represent the cultural significance of the country.
On the banks of the Bagmati River, Pashupatinath temple is one of the most sacred Hindu temples not only in Nepal, but in the world. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Hindu devotees from all around the world visit here for praying and blessings.
During the Teej festival, the site comes alive with the sounds of praying and devotional songs as you can observe the traditional rituals and celebrations in the surroundings. Along with the Teej celebrations, you can also explore the stunning architecture of temples and shrines. The site offers a clear insight into Hindu tradition and culture, which fascinates you greatly.
Boudhanath Stupa is popular as one of the holiest pilgrimage sites for Buddhists and is one of the largest stupas in South Asia. During your visit here, you can witness Tibetan Buddhists performing their cultural and traditional rituals, which offer sight into Buddhism. You can walk around the stupa and enjoy the spiritual atmosphere.
After a full day of the Kathmandu tour, you will return to your hotel to stay overnight.
After relishing breakfast, the day starts with a visit to Chandragiri Hills in the southwest of Kathmandu Valley. The site is popular for presenting breathtaking panoramic views of sky-touching mountains, rich forests, and Kathmandu city. To reach the top, you can take a cable car ride, which is a fascinating experience itself. You get to enjoy the views of stunning landscapes during your ride.
After arriving at the top, you will enjoy the breathtaking top view of the Kathmandu Valley and panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. The site also includes the Bhaleshwar Mahadev Temple; you can explore and take blessings from a mighty Hindu god.
From Chandragiri, you will head toward Nagarkot, which is a scenic hill station. You will arrive at Nagarkot after 1.5 hours of a scenic drive. The hill station offers panoramic views of the stunning Himalayas including Mount Everest.
In the evening, you will enjoy the breathtaking sunset view from the comfort of your hotel only. Stay overnight at a hotel in Nagarkot.
Today is the last day for our Teej Festival Tour. You will wake up early to witness the beautiful sunrise view from Nagarkot while enjoying a delicious breakfast. After breakfast, the NBM representative will transfer you to the Tribhuvan International Airport 3 hours before your flight.
In case you have a late flight, we will arrange a visit to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, yet another UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Kathmandu Valley. Here, you can explore a complex of ancient temples, statues, monuments, carvings, and palaces built during the Malla Kingdom. The major attractions of the sites include the Golden Gate and 55 Window Palace which offer sights into traditional Nepalese architecture.
After exploring Bhaktapur Durbar Square, our representative will drive you to the airport and wave a hearty goodbye.
